East Side Camps is led by Brittany Shryock, Community Engagement Specialist and Camp Director, and Betty White, Camp Coordinator. Together, they are committed to creating a summer experience that is safe, engaging, and filled with opportunities for children to learn, grow, and have fun.

Brittany holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Studies with a minor in Business from Manchester University and brings years of experience in youth programming, family engagement, and community partnerships. As Camp Director, she oversees the vision and development of East Side Camps, working to create meaningful experiences that help children build friendships, discover new interests, and make lasting memories.

Betty serves as Camp Coordinator and brings a wealth of experience in youth development, education, and resilience training. A retired U.S. Army veteran with 22 years of service, Betty has also spent 15 years working as a camp counselor with children and teens ages 8–18. Her experience includes serving as a Resilience Course Manager for the Army National Guard and a Literacy and Movement Instructor for Lawrence Township. Known for her creativity, enthusiasm, and animated personality, Betty uses engaging activities to encourage participation and create positive learning experiences for every camper.

Together, Brittany and Betty share a passion for building a camp that children look forward to attending, parents trust, and staff are proud to be part of.
