PLANT: Embrace the Jesus Life
Pastor Kayla Harden
Have you ever read the Bible and found yourself struggling to understand what you read? Or maybe you’ve found yourself struggling to read scripture on a regular basis? You are not alone. Many of us have struggled to develop this soul-training practice.
That’s why we created PLANT: A guide for growing in your relationships with Jesus. PLANT journals are designed to help you develop a daily rhythm of spending time in scripture and prayer.
How it works: Six days a week, you’ll be given a scripture to read and then five journal prompts to help you process.
Prepare Your Heart - Take a deep breath. Ask God how you can grow today.
Lean in and Learn - What sticks out to you from these verses?
Analyze - Ask questions. What do these verses say about God?
Name Next Steps - Apply these verses to your life. What is you next step and how can you be obedient?
Take & Go - Write out how God is calling you to act.
If you’ve never used a PLANT journal or joined a group, the PLANT: Embrace the Life of Jesus is a great journal to start with. This series is only 5 weeks long and each journal entry should take less than 10 minutes a day.
Similar to previous PLANT journals, we’re excited to offer three versions tailored to individuals, families, and students. These journals are available for purchase for $8 at the Info Area on Sundays or online for just over $8 anytime through Amazon.
Individual's Guide (View on Amazon) – Designed for one person to journey through on their own and then discuss with a group.
Family Guide (View on Amazon) – Created for families with children to explore together, making it a shared experience for the whole family.
Student Guide (View on Amazon) – Intended for elementary through junior high students to begin the process of exploring scripture. This guide has been formatted with your kid in mind - including places to draw, write, and pray!
These guides ensure that everyone, regardless of their stage of life, has a meaningful way to grow and engage in the PLANT journey.
