A Journey Through Love That Never Dies

Kerry Robinson, Lead Pastor

Today is Maundy Thursday. Tomorrow is Good Friday. Saturday is considered Holy Saturday. And Sunday is Resurrection Sunday. These are the annual days of remembrance during Holy Week that Christians have observed for two thousand years. Every year as I live and relive these days I am reminded of Jesus’ amazing love for us expressed on each of these days.

The Maundy Thursday expression of love through the replacement of a Passover Celebration with the washing of His disciples feet and the institution of The Lord’s Supper draws my soul to remember the love found in Christian community. The Good Friday expression of love through the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus’ crucifixion humbles me to understand the magnitude of my sin and the sin of the world. The pain of the disciples on Holy Saturday when they believed everything Jesus had called them to experience was lost in His death when in reality He was at work offering redemption to those living in the pit of hell reminds me that my experience of reality is limited at best but Jesus’ love reaches to places I have never been. And the humanly impossible events of the Third Day resurrection on that first Easter cause my heart to sing the song of those who discover a love that never dies!

This Sunday I invite you to join me in singing that Easter Song of God’s love and redemption for our souls through Jesus’ Resurrection!

He is Alive!
