The Treasures of Summer
Kerry Robinson, Lead Pastor
Summer 2026 at East Side has been an amazing season of ministry and relationships. Throughout June and July, our campus has provided a place for 150 children—from infants through 5th grade—to learn about Jesus, explore their gifts and abilities, discover the love of God, and engage with their community. Every week, Monday through Friday, from early morning until early evening, the administration and teachers of KIDS Place Early Learning and East Side Camps have provided a safe, exciting environment for children, giving parents confidence in the care their children receive.

In addition to the daily ministries on our campus, East Side Youth encountered Jesus in a powerful way at the Church of God's International Youth Convention during the last week of June. Our July 5 Summer Celebration and BBQ brought our church family together for a wonderful time of fellowship and fun. Throughout the summer, our small groups have also found meaningful ways to spend time together and strengthen relationships.

My personal summer has been a very different season as I have "walked" through knee replacement surgery and the rehabilitation that followed. I have been blessed by the care of outstanding doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and my amazing wife, Becky. My recovery has progressed to the point that I will be returning to preach this Sunday, July 26.

As I have witnessed the incredible work of our staff during my absence, seen the impact of our ministries on the people in our community, and experienced God's continued provision to support and expand our mission to Lift up Jesus so people can discover hope for their living, I have become even more aware of the treasures of summer.

I hope you'll join us on campus or online for worship this Sunday as we begin exploring the summer treasures that can make a lasting difference in the way we live.
